Looks almost like a knock-off of G35......

It's ok, but Nissan still owns Toyota in the coupe/sport area as far as power is concerned....we need a coupe with the 2GR or better!

eh...

even though I don't care much for it, I bet these will be extremely popular.

Looks like they ripped the front off the base Maxima, the sides look G35 Coupe-ish and the rear looks like a Volvo and a Pontiac G6 got jiggy with it... The interior reminds me somewhat of a Matrix for some reason, and the wheels look similar to those off a base Solara...

Looks cheapy, but that's just me... Not personally a fan (I don't hate it, but it's just kinda "blah"), but as my twin above said, I'm sure it will be plenty popular due to the relatively low cost power and Nissan engineering/reputation.

I think it looks pretty good. I'm definatley going to check it out when it hits the dealerships. Who knows- it may replace my falling apart Solara.

Gotta give Nissan some major kudos for introducing a midsize coupe into the market when everyone else is pulling them out of the market, and producing something with some power- definately a lot more than we can say about Toyota.

I'll bet by the time of the SEMA show October 30 - Nov 2 you will see plenty off body kits and performance parts in display.

The first shot is the people who built (and will build) every seat that goes into the coupe... taken on the manufacturing facilities "Grand Opening" day... which was Monday, April 30th. (I drove down to the facility just outside of Nashville that day... and snapped a few shots of the event... then drove back home... all in the SAME DAY!) That was just under 1000 miles for the day. LONG day!

This week, Monday, I drove up to our facility in Canada where the Civic 2DR seats and the Acura MDX seats are manufactured... and just got back late last night. (Another 1000 mile trip! ARGH!)

Too bad the ceremony car was the 2.5.... although it IS the leather trim grade. (I don't care for RED, either.... )

Monday, April 30th was also the first day of Mass Production start at the Smyrna TN Nissan plant. The seats were produced the prior Friday... lead-times for automotive seating "JIT" (Just In Time) plants is usually 1/2 to 1 day only! (Sometimes with a "buffer" of a day inbetween... but usually not even that much.)

You can't afford any "downtime" with that setup... or you are in deep doo-doo...

We are currently design/developing the '08 Accord 2DR at my home plant. Good thing is, whether the Accord coupe, or the Altima coupe nudge ahead in sales... my company has their product in BOTH!

(Unfortunately... the Toyota is not on my parent company's radar... although the US half of our Joint Venture DOES build the Solara Seats down in Georgetown!)

Anyway... just a little Altima related detour in my world...
