btw, numbers --its sitting at 236 whp, 161 ftb torque, but "with the new clutch and a bit more tuning, the twin-charge set up is anticipate to put down close to 340 whp."

i.e. one scion Tc not to dick around with.

that's it...SC helps with lower RPMs and lag, while the turbo takes its time to spool.

Not neccessarily, the TRD blowers are Vortech Centrifugal blowers and make most of their power in mid to high rev ranges...and at low speeds, they are adding additional parasitic drag to the engine. If it was a roots or whipple style blower, moving a fixed amount of air volume per rev that would be another story...but it isn't, so it's not :p

I highly doubt that the SC is helping that turbo spool up significantly quicker, and if the tuner chooses their turbo carefully, there shouldn't be lag issues anyway :o

true, guess i was thinking of roots style only, not centrifugal.

I've seen this before.

2000 Solara SE auto V6. Diamond White Pearl.
Top Speed Run finished at 130 mph. :o
Too many modifcations for the signature.

DING DING DING!!! centrifugal sc's don't have the instant throttle response like roots blowers do. They build gradually with rpm. If anything, this set up is probably doing the same thing one large turbo would do without the hassle
