Sorry to dig up an old thread, but...

The Lexus IS wheels are actually stamped Toyota on the back. That means it's like putting Toyota wheels on a Toyota. I feel better now.

I think that is smart. Factory wheels are much more durable than aftermarket wheels. Then he did a great job of choosing the wheels. It goes with the solara very well.

Yea that was the whole point.

I wanted wheel but wanted good quality. And OEM was a safe way for me to go.

BTW-

Lexus=Toyota

Honda=Acura

Infiniti=nissan

Also, i have gotten two tickets, and with the lexus wheels they wrote me up as a "Lexus Coupe." With that error and matching up with my plate numbers, i was able to have it waved. haha. :wink:

BTW, maybe I skipped on the reading, but how does the car sit on the JIC highest setting? How does that compare to the Tein?

I think i had them set pretty realistically for daily driving when I shot them your way... especially with a TRD lip kit. My side skirt was like 2" from the ground, so I couldnt go any lower. Looks clean as always!

I didnt know this was an old thread... my bad :lol:

Depending on your wheel size, it can be easily done or not.

Since my wheels are wider than the typical cheap set of wheels, i had to do mods to the car for them to fit. For the rears, you can either shave or roll the fenders. I cut mines with a angle grinder, but since i rub on dips with full load, i may roll them.

The front on the other hand, you will need to do some heating to push the fender lining higher up. Because the guards are low, the tires burn right thru it when they touch. I just heated them up with the heat gun and pushed the plastic up to the top.

BTW inside the front top of the fender, the ABS sensor wires run thru the top. You have to loosen up the mounting bracket and push it away from the area.

Othere than that, you can slamm your car with Coilovers and look friggin nice. Just turn some brackets and your car would go lower.
