If I recall correctly from my friend's A6, I think the redline lines had a thicker-than-usual line to indicate the start of the redline and the spacing of the lines were closer together from thereon, but he sold it 2 years ago.

**EDIT** I looked on eBay and it's actually a solid line for the redline portion instead of the dotted lines.

Since we're reviving an old post... I recently found these for gauge installation:

http://autolumination.com/194.htm

I've used autolumination before, they're a good company... if you plan on going with DIY LED install, eBay or http://www.lsdiodes.com/shop/ are good as well (I use LSDiodes for PC mods as well).

Since we're talkin interior lights again...
Brad's looks very similiar to mine, but i just suck at taking pictures in the dark. my most recent addition is the neons behind the center console vents and the LEDs behind the side vents. I also put red condoms over the red bulbs in my cluster so it is a RICH red. I also have red neons under dash but i dont think you can barely see them in my crappy picture:

well ive found the ultimate solution for dash lights that will solve everyones color problems. I just got my 2 new LEDs installed it and lets just say that it is on par if not brighter than the new Accords dash. IT makes my needles look as if I did that light ring mod to it. I snapped pics but still have to get em uploaded and hosted somewhere.

Is it safe to use permanent markers on bulbs? I'm planning on adding a "GS blue" color to the gauges to make it the whitish blue color. Since it's basically white with a tad bit of blue (and rumor has it that blue actually has a greenish hue to it too), what I was thinking was to get a set of hyper white LEDs, add some blue to the back portion of the LED and mix it with a bit of purple to counter-act the green (and if worst comes to worst, I might have to actually make it purple).

Somewhat what I envisioned (maybe I'll change the needles too?)

Start by removing all the screws you can find around the object you're trying to remove. For instance the cluster, remove the upper 2 screws then remove the black piece, then remove the 4 screws around the cluster and pull out from the bottom. Unplug the 3 wire harnesses and the cluster is in your hands.

This is on Ebay right now. This is what I have lighting up my needles. I hope this is a little better the the model I have. Only two of the six lights still work.
