How do you know how much to bend the shield?

Once you open the headlight up, it should be pretty obvious. It's the center mounting piece between the lense and the bulb holder. There's only one piece u can bend and it should cover up the slit above it. I would aluminum tape up the slit just to make sure no light escape because I feel that just bending the flap is not enough to cover the slit. Just bend it as far as you can.
