wow

. i am believing now that solaras are really safe cars.. their frames are very strong. I'm glad we all have solaras. before i got my solara, my sister got a 99 sle v6. She was on the freeway, lost control, and slammed into the middle divider at almost perpendicular to it. She made contact at about 75mph. She got out with scratches, neck pain, and back pain. she's doing fine now, but i could say that if my sister drove another car, she wouldn't be alive right now.

So, im glad to hear that you got out with small injuries. Best of luck to you and your case. Lets hope that driver has insurance and pay for ten folds of what you spend on your one-of-a-kind car.

Thanks, all! I'll keep you guys updated, I should get a call from the insurance claims guy tomorrow. It's either fix the Solara or start modding the IS350....

I'd be heartbroken if that shhhh happened to my Solara with only a couple mods I've put in so far and about 2 months owning it. I can only imagine all the shhhh you're going through from all the moments you've had in that car man. Damn, I swear I dislike those bigass trucks who feel they can just pull shhh like that knowing they'll get away with it cause no one wants their time, money, and hard-work dedicated to their pride and joy destroyed like that.

Jesus Larry!!

I feel like someone just tore up the Mona Lisa of Solaras.

You've been an inspiration to all Solara owners. The mods you've done have been so much more than being about cost. Even though insurance won't make it right for all you have in it, I hope you are able to keep her and bring her back. As cool as the IS can be, you will never be able to get the Solara out of your blood. It's like the love of your first girlfriend. Every one after will be compared to her.
