Black lip looks good. You need at least 3 inches in drop for that car. The drop will make the car look best.

The font lip on the other hand is a bit small and makes the car looks a lil weird. I kno Lexus LS has somthing similar but this is way too small.

Does someone make coilovers for the Avalon?

I dont know, I would just sack up and buy camry/solara ones and see if they fit. The gen 4 camry/gen 3 camry/solara suspension is all almost the same as far as springs/struts go, so my guess would be yes, but I can't confirm. You have to be willing to try things out when you have a car that no one else really works with :)

I have seen it done well and it looks good on some cars in some situations, but it just looks a bit off on this car... too many colors going on. The lack of drop has a lot to do with it as well.

The problem with those wheels is that they look way too aggressive for the car. It's a bit like massive spoiler syndrome.

the red lip doesn't look bad. the size of the wheel and the drop is the bigger the issue.

if you were to slam the car on 20s, tint the turn signals, tint the windows, tint the tails you will be good.

NO hate, just the red on those tenzos are a bit much. If you have a banging ass ride and drop u can pull it off. Go get that front lip and paint it black and it'll be good. man.

Just to add to Damon's comment you could aways find a lowered Avalon on Car Domain and contact the owner to confirm what they used.

Also check out the ultraracing suspension. They have coilovers really cheap.

Ok, well I got bored and finished up paint the front lip, the sides are white and the center part is black. We'll see how that one goes.. I may just throw it back on w/ zipties again and hope its good for temporary use till I figure something out. One pretty cool thing though is the car looks badass at night w/ these rims. I was in a parking lot and I was near a light and the light reflected just a bit off the red and it was actually pretty cool. I may just drop it first before painting the red to see. I'm thinking how I could go VIP still. This car is an open canvas and it's just the beginning =]

For the cardomain comment - I've seen 2 avalons lowered - one on vogtland springs and one on intrax springs (intrax said they sucked) All the other avalons r on like 20s, 22s, and so on.. =[ I want to be different.. individual.. you kno?
are avalons supposed to be this fast?

Have you talked to Jeff, "GreeKAvaLoN"??
Anyways, the rims from his car looked ok, IMO.

I think it might be the car itself that throws off this theme, or rather what we're used to seeing the Avalon as (VIP). It's a boxy car but it's no Evo, it's also a long car but it's no SC.

IMO, The style of the rims look like they belong on a more sporty car or at least a car with much more curves, but that's not to say you can't pull off a good look with them. Since you're going to repaint that lip anyway maybe add a few layers of clear to the surface of whole rim?

There's a lot of potential to your car but not in the direction you might be thinking. I've always thought of the Avalon as a sweet and comfy cruiser, I personally wouldn't want to detract from that.
