Don't need too! just take the unit apart and pull the green condoms off the bulbs and color it your favorite color with a sharpie marker. Mines been that way now for a year and half and it hasn't faded yet!

Pick a color...

^ Do you have a SLE or SE? If you have a SE and your talking about the AC and Defrost buttons those are LEDs. I tried to do those but gave up since I couldn't get them apart. I was pulling hard enough and I got to the point I felt I would break the clips if I pulled harder. I didn't want to find out what the cost would be to replace them. I tried the clock too. I did succeeded with it, but during the day I couldn't see the time. So I changed it back. If you want blue then you should be successful I think by putting blue transparency in front of it.

Ah so do you have LEDs in your HVAC control. If I remember correctly yours is digital. If thats the case it shouldn't be any harder than the radio.

Here is the link of the tutorial I used to do my radio.

No... Don't color the clock with a perm. marker. I said use transparency to stick in front of it. You have to take off that redish brown cover that goes over it. To be honest I dont think its possible to do the clock. One guy did change his to white on TN but really we need to find someone who sells clocks in different colors and the same size as ours. Im not that concerned though. Im assuming you know how to pull that center part of your dash out? If it will expose four bolts to remove your HVAC unit. Then unplug everything in the back. Im assuming the face of the unit has clips much like the radio. Lift those up and slide the face off. Then you will see the green circuit board. There should be some tiny screws holding that in. Once you get that out you just need to desoldier the current leds and soldier the new ones in. That tutorial explains it all and i bet it the HVAC unit is very similar.
