It's a totally new model available since 1 week.

I bought them 3 weeks ago...they haven't in stock.

I think they will not give crap and change the wheel right away...it is obvious that I had 1 production failure wheel (regarding the finish)

Looks like whoever mounted the wheel on the car is the one that messed them up... Unless it came like that right out of the box....

BTW, I aslo bought new wheels for my coupe.

I mounted it on my car yesterday. I did the visual inspection...nothing wrong. I mounted 3 first wheels and everything was fine....the last wheel when I screw the first bolt a big paint chip came off. I was like...WTF...I continue and at every single bolt the same thing happened. I think you can peel the paint with your finger...I didn't try but it is ridiculous !! It's really a production problem. Did you ever saw something like it ?? I never.

BTW what is your new wheel model ??

They look very agressive. The black works well with your car too.

Those look good man!

But instead of just chrome, why not got those inserts repainted to match your car? :-?

BTW - moving this to the "Pictures" forum. ;)

They look nice, but I agree that fake CF = poop.

I think PXL had a good idea... why not get the inserts painted to whatever you want while you wait for the chrome inserts to come on the market.

Even if it makes the car look a bit too sporty in my taste, I think to qualify it to look like poop is a bit strong, don't you ?

LOL, No. I didnt say your car looked like poop... I said the fake CF looks like poop. Your car looks nice. The wheels look nice... once again, the fake CF looks like poop.... which is why I like PXLs idea of painting the inserts...

Sebas - it's only when you get up close that you can see its even a CF texture - from a distance it just looks like gunmetal gray.

I think it would be unique to have them match your car color. Chrome may look good too, but may look like ordinary wheels. I've not seen any like yours on any Solara yet - and they'd be especially unique if painted to match. ;)

I agree Posh...on close view you can see the squared 2 tone color to make the carbon fake look. I think the colored spokes will be available at low cost. I'll probably try at least 1 other set. I'll see...

also I'll have to install my brakes (not bigger though) and painting my calipers...I thought to paint them black and put a white TRD label on it.

For now I'm in the process to get refund/replacement for 1 wheel (paint peeling...again WTF !!). It will probably be a pain in the ass process.

Jeff, I think I'm not the first one with that carbon gray look...Got_Sport was the first one ;)
