Ok i was headin' home about 2:00 from tutorin' of AFG[which i suck at it].
Anyways was at a red light wit a Mitsubshi Montero SUV, and the light turned green and we started off,[i was behind him].
So the next thing i know is that he stopped in the middle of the intersection.
I was goin about 15-20 mph, and i had a 1/4 car length in front of us, and it happen so quick that i rear-ended the Motha Fu**a.
And all i see is my hood bend up like a triangle, and i got out, and was like WTF, and then he came out and was like WTH and then we pulled over wit my car creepin' to a safe place.
So then the cop came and then wrote a report, and gave me a ticket for "followin' to closely".
WTH,, the guy had stopped in the middle of the intersection.
Also his car had no damage.
And now my car has to go to the hospital to get better.
The guy was dressed up preppy. [Which was gay too me]
But now it sittin' at home under a tree collectin' dust, and bird crap; until our body shop that we know gets better.
Here's the damge:

I don't even know if it is fixable.
Do you guys think it can be fixed, or is it totalled??

:( Damn, sorry about your luck. Although it looks bad, that damage is certainly fixable. If insurance is an issue you might want to check e-bay or the local junkyard for parts.

Good luck and be safe!

Well the body shop guy we know, can get us parts, it's just he radiator top support i'm worried about.
You can see it is bent like a slight "U" shape.
He can get us OEM parts that's the easy part.
But when my car is in the shop, my moms is goin to ask him to get a brake master cylinder from a Supra and fab it on to my brake system.
Cause when i saw the guy stop in the middle of the intersection, i had hit my brakes, but they weren't clampin' on the to rotors.
The cops said that even if i had dime-stoppin- brakes i would've still rear-ended the dumb-a$$ anyways, i think the cop is wrong, a 1/4 length of a car wit dime-stoppin' brakes would only ruin the bumper slightly i think.
But since my brake were messed-up already, wit new pads, and wit a bleeded system; they were still f***ed-up anyways.
So wit the grille when my body shop guy gets me, i'm just goin to ask him to strip the chrome and paint it black like i had it.
THAT IS IF IT IS FIXABLE.

it seems fixable, seeing what happened; most of the times rear ending someone = tick to the dude in the back. Hope you were ok. getting a ticket doesn't mean end of the world, fight it with the ins adjuster...

Yeah i'm ok, but gettin' some headaches now & later.
Yeah that what the cop told me.
Also can you believe that the guy in front of me told the cop there was a car comin' towards him!!!!
And the time i've been at my college, rarely does there is a car that comes out of the street when i go through the intersection.
Even the security guard agreed wit me about that the front driver was lying to the cop.
And the cop believed him. :x :x :x :x
Can you believe that.
I even said there wasn't a car that was comin' towards him.
I even told the cop that i've been at RSC for about a year, and that no cars ever came through the entrance of the place, when i was there or leaving.
Only when there is a big play production or somethin'
Total BS to me.
I was because i'm only 19, and the other guy was about early 20's.
Oh, well i will get over it, but the BS crap gets too me.

Sorry to hear bro. I got rear ended once and the cop told me I have every right to stop if I feel I need to. He even told the lady that hit me that even if I had seen an alien, I have the right to stop anywhere. I guess what he was saying was that you can stop for any reason, you just always have to be prepared.

Dammm, sorry to hear about your accident, bro.

From looking at those pics, i guess it's fixable. The only main thing is the bent metal in front of the car.

You can reuse your grill.
You can just order a carbon fiber.
You can order a radiator on ebay.
You can order a front bumper from someone on the board with a wrecked car or go with the R34 front on Ebay.

Well, shi$t happens for a reason, and hopefully you will get back your car soon.

you need to replace
a radiator support, wield on and paint it
head lights,
hood,
some touch

i think it will cost you about $1500 to $2500 to fix. to get brake master cylinder would not help that much, you might just get steel bread brake line and BETTER TIRES. but most importantly, dont following too close. 1/4 length of car is not enough for react. A safe driving space is that you need at least 2 second of space. It is like when the car in front of you past a spot, you should pass the spot more then 2 second.

Also, the rear car would appear closer in the mirror. The guy in front of you mght felt that you are tailgating him and he decided to give you a lesson.

Ultraslow is right, 1/4th car length is too close. The way I look at it is that a lot of drivers are crap, especially people with SUVs. Just assume they are going to do something stupid. It all looks fixable though...

That sucks about the cop not believing you. I think that when the cops pull up and there is a young driver and an old driver, the cop has already made up his mind about who is guilty. It sucks but too many drunk dumbass kids rolling their SUVs pretty much screwed us young males.

Dont you ever wonder that the SUV stopped on purpose for you to hit him cuz you were following so close (1/4 car length is CLOSE)?
Lots of ppl have gotten into road rage cuz of tailgators... i.e. tapping brakes but you actually hit him.. all in all i hate SUV and truck drivers... they think they own the world
