recently i've been wondering if i should have my rims powdercoated/painted a different color but leave the polished lip as is...

1. If the shop has gold available

2. If they would be able to mask off the lip properly to go along with your 'concept'

3. Depends on the theme you are going for. My Solara theme was monochromatic, i.e. all silver and my Camry theme is black/white. Was thinking of going black/silver in the future but undecided.

I like gold on blue or gold color cars. I guess if your wheels were gold and your emblems/front grill/etc was gold you could pull it off.

I guess I'll be the first to say I like it as is... Black is played out, and the gold doesn't look quite right to me...
