Eh, it's a good idea. Why not? I actually got the idea from previs /nj99solara and hadn't seen yours at the time. I retouched the screw out of these as well as I could for here (will explain in a minute), the first two pictures do show the light REALLY harsh. They look a lot cleaner from more than 4 feet away (ie from another car) and I think the pic of them on the car is great.

Those who live in florida or somewhere else tropical and have ever tried to clear coat (or even some regular spray paints) anything like taillights know humidity is your enemy. And hey these were simply on my old car and I needed to get rid of them. It was a DIY and I never work with these kind of projects, so I thought they came out pretty damn good. I bought the materials for them and sold them for $50 shipped. Which to me seems to be a great deal considering the time and cost I put into them myself.

Then again I thought they looked great in flat black on my car, and wish I'd done this to them when I still drove it. To each his own.

Enjoy the lights buddy. And as a side note, I was told by a friend that sometimes the kind of clear coat I used tends to frost over after drying and if you brush it off or clean them it will remove some of the frosting. This is once again due to florida humidity I'm told, and shouldnt' be too evident. I sprayed these in my house matter of factly just to try to avoid the humidity issues, but I don't have the means to create proper conditions here.

You got your windows tinted already to which is a good compliment IMO. Now a TRD lip kit and the car is looking hot. The only other thing I had on my car was clear corners, and be it as far from humble as it may, but I thought my old car looked ill as hell.

Glad you like em.
