hmm, glare is minimal, enough glare to light up those reflective street signs, stop signs, light up lane dividers very far out, etc... But not too much glare that it blinds people.

brand is ProLumen. It comes with a lifetime warranty on all parts, which is one reason i got it.

Nice, I'll look into them. Right now I'm leaning towards the Apexcones. I've noticed that a few companies are offering lifetime warranties which is what sparked my interest recently.

Looks good. That actually looks like it has a good hot spot. I know several cars that project out like crazy, blinding everyone.

Thanks for the compliments. I got it from this site.
http://www.thexenonstore.com/
It says so on the home page that he offers a lifetime warranty. I can vouch for his customer service. Initially sent the wrong color bulb, but when I told him so, he immediately sent out the right one. Price is $280 as stated on the page, but yeah, you get a lifetime warranty, and that site has been up really long. As a matter of fact, my friend got his HID from that site also, 1.5 years before I did, and his HID still working nice.

Thanks for the compliments once again. and what did you mean by a "good hot spot"? Yeah, I try to not blind oncoming drivers. Upon installing it, I made sure to adjust my headlight just slightly lower so I don't blind drivers. (also a precaution to not draw unneeded attention from police officers).

Nope. I had Nokya JDM yellow in there, but one of them burned out, so i'd just decided to take pictures with no fogs in. I'm gonna replace it again soon though, that's for sure.

Question

Postby JMSinMaryland » Wed Apr 25, 2007 4:51 pm

Aren't HID's in a non-HID setup just overpriced lightbulbs? I'm not trying to 'bust' on you but hotspots aren't a good thing, I wish HID was really plug and play but if I was going to do it I would do it right including projectors, etc, etc.

I don't think it's an overpriced light bulb. I really noticed an increase in visibility after I installed the HID. Street signs would light up better. Viewing distance is greatly improved. I definitely think HID is better than halogen.

As for hot spot. I don't even know what they are. If you read my previous post, I asked what a hot spot was. Even though it shows in my pictures that some spot is more focused than other, it's actually pretty well distributed. It's just my camera, I guess. I'll admit, it's not like projector HID, but it's not bad either.
