I can't believe this happened....update on page 6
Getting off my exit for work (605 SB @ Studebaker Rd) and this kind of truck cuts in front of me...and bam!
Apparently, before I caught up to him, he was trying to merge into the exit only lane and hit and broke a guys side view mirror. The truck driver says he didn't even realize he hit the mirror.
So, when he went back into his lane, probably saying to himself "WTF was that?", he decides to jump back into the exit lane at about 25 mph. I had about 1-2 car lengths to slow down, I was traveling about 60 mph, it was inevitable. I'm just hoping my insurance will find him at fault. I couldn't tell how much time had passed when he hit the other car, because that car was already stopped on the side, and I hit the truck about 4-5 car lengths passed him.
My driver headlight was pushed in and crushed
That was a one-of-a-kind dual projector headlight!
I'm just hoping now that my insurance won't claim it a loss. I know there's alot of damage, but at least the air bag didn't deploy. This is my daily driver, the IS350 sits in the garage and is supposed to be the weekend-only car. Well, if it's not deemed a loss, I'm going to finally put the TRD sides on. As well as doing the long awaited touch ups around the rear quarter panel and bumper. I'm pretty sure I'll get the whole car painted, especially since there was damage on the driver side skirt and on the end of the door. Man, I hope the car isn't a loss! Back to the shop again....oh, and I walked away with just a few scratches on my left forearm from the flying glass when the windshield broke. The windshield and pillar actually came in contact with his rear bumper.
If it's a loss, I most likely will be parting it out.
