if you have come this far, please please mount those speakers on a 1/2" mdf ring and surround it with some non-hardening molding clay. you can get the mdf rings from ebay, already cut (diameter 6.5") for like 15 shipped which is not a bad deal at all. also put some of that egg crate foam behind the speakers to destroy the backwaves. you won't believe what a difference it will make with ANY speaker. even a $1000 pair of components will sound like crap if not mounted properly no matter how many watts you give 'em.

i followed this guide and let me tell you, it sounds sick man. i turned my sub OFF.

Nice man.
Yeah you should upgrade your speakers, I have all Alpine Type S speakers in all 4 corners and the rear are mounted on MDF, and all 4 speakers i have speaker dynamat kits on them, and they cound pretty good.

I agree with hari-bhari on the deflex or egg crate. And i tried 3/4" for the baffle, but 1/2" is all the door will take and it's still hard to get the door panel back on. Go easy on the clay.

Who makes that deadner and did you do the outside of the door too?

Also how did you "support" the big opening, if not plexi woud be a good idea...

You should look into adding a layer of closed cell foam on top of that to help out. Something along the lines of ensolite.
