99 Solara - My Ride's progress

It's been almost 3 months since I've got the car. Trust me, I'm taking care of it as best as I can. Nothing much has been done with it, except the oil change to synthetic, some 6000k 55w HIDs and 2500k Nokya fog lights. I will get some night pictures tonight.

I will eventually (very soon) drop the car and put an exhaust!

Here's my progress, I will update this thread constantly.

Comments are VERY welcomed! So feel free to comment, I appreciate it:)

When I got the car:

First mod! :

Shaved some emblems:

Touched up front bumper chips and cleared headlights and foglights:

Bought some 17" Dai Alloys with 225/45/17 Pirelli and Bridgeston Turanza's

My car as right now:

BTW what you guys think about the wheels?

Coming up:
-Lowering springs and struts
-K&N air filter
-Megan racing or Greddy exhausts
-we'll see:)

Thanks Sleeper and Lee!
Btw Lee, I saw on your CarDomain page that you're using Monroe struts! How are they holding? Are they any good?

They are a good replacment for the OEM's.
I bought them new in 2008 I believe and have put around 10K on'em
The ride feels stiff with the Tein Springs.
I think they are made best for OEM springs.

My next set up on my 2000 will be the same as Mr_Krisppy's old set up.
Tokico struts
Teins up front
Eibachs in the back.

.... You got everything that my car doesn't. Sunroof, leather, and 5 Speed. All you need is a TRD Kit and trust me it's the best exterior mod on a Lara. Plus it also drops it a little.

Had a mini tune-up. Changed my spark plug wires (NGK) and spark plugs (NGK platinum), changed oil after the seafoam. I'll be changing my transmission oil soon. I don't believe it has been changed yet since 1999...

Update:
Nothing too serious, just some pics of my head/fog lights at night. Exhaust and drop are coming soon!

Thanks Yadda! Tomorrow will be the day. I can't wait for the sun to rise. I will wake up earlier to take off my back seats and panels so the struts would be reachable. Then I'm going to the garage to install the new ones. Then, I'll head my way to another garage to get the muffler forged! Pics will be up tomorrow night!

Alright guys! I'm happy because everything was put together! But I got screwed up BIG TIME at a friend referred garage. I called the owner of that garage and I was told that to install my springs+struts at that garage would cost 70$. So I went there and they did a great job BUT at the end when I was about to pay, the guy told me it was 280$. ARE YOU flippin KIDDING ME? I argued with him for like 15 mins as he CLEARLY told me that it would cost 70$ for the 4 (even it was a really good price but it is possible since other garages are charging around 120$-150$). I finally gave him his flippin money and screwed off. I learned a valuable lesson today. It is sad that My hard earned summer money just goes like that.

Anyways, I was happy with the drop, thought Teins would drop just a little bit more though. Then I went to the garage that I go all the time, did a muffler job, welded my custom made muffler and the sound is SO SEXY. But here in Montreal cops are really dicks about mufflers so I will not drive like a d*ck in the city. Anyways, went to see my girl after and didn't have time to take pictures :S

But as promised, I snapped a quick picture :) Will take A LOT more pics tomorrow!
