Engagement Photo Session 04/30/11

This was my first engagement photo session so I had no idea what to do for these type of shoots but in the end, they came out better than what I expected. I'm hoping to do more in the future. Some critiques are welcomed from photo gurus.

the pics look good. i would try to get not taken in so much light. what iso were you running and lens? were you taking pics for a friend or for yourself? overall i like it

Thanks! These were for my friend's engagement so I offered to do it for stinking cheap for her.

Yeah, I'll consider in the taking in less lighting next time. I wanted to get as much lighting as possible for most of the shots and some came out really exposed. Some were done on purpose to give it a more emotional effect.

Mostly before 6pm, I was using ISO 200 then switched over to 400 for the dusk/sun down shots, and then switched to 800 near dark ones. I used four lenses: 50mm, 18-55mm, 55-200mm, and the 28-80mm. Most of the shots I posted were from the 18-55 and 50mm. I used the 55-200mm for most of the beach shots.
