I found this car at the junkyard hidden away in the corner in the import section. I can usually ID a car but this one stumped me. I couldn't get any interior shots... I think something was living in there. It looks like a late 70s celica to me... Any ideas?

I was leaning towards an old Datsun, I keep finding little differences that don't match

It resembles a mid 80's Toyota Sprinter Trueno, with slight differances

The hole in the hood throws me off. Wonder if someone put a little something special under there...

I was gonna say the same thing but for some reason I want to say its a British car...that left rear quarter panel looks like something they'd do.

BAM!!! Got it!!

That sh*t was rough. Since you mentioned British, I started searching and there was a few that looked similar, but the window, tail lights and gas cap where the main differences. Then I found this page http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/ca ... e_1974.htm and started browsing the 70s

Damn, nice work! That's an interesting car to find in a US junkyard. I might go back with my machete and bear mace and take a closer look now.

"Later in the same year, the GTV-6, a version of the GTV with the SOHC V6 2.5 L engine from the Alfa 6 luxury sedan, was released. As a result the hood received a bulge to clear the top of the intake and became its most pronounced feature."

That answers my other question...

Definatly an Alfa GTV6 my dream car!!! IT was designed by Pininfarina, same people who do Ferrari designs. Alfa Romeo's are sexy but unreliable like most Italian cars, an women lol jk.
