I have to agree also. The grill insert looks awesome with my paint job and took only 5 mins to install. Definitely adds more pizazz to the car. Thanks Michael.

slingshot,

The lower grille looks very nice with your Lunar Mist Metallic. That's the first Lunar Mist that I've seen with the grille; it looks like it belongs there. WOW. :D

Hope you don't mind me postin your pics here... :D

Michael,
No problem at all posting my pics. Yes, your lower grille insert does match perfectly with the Lunar Mist color and I've gotten good comments from people.

You might be in luck. Michael told me he is investigating black mesh (no paint) and a black border so you might be able to get an all black cool-looking grille insert!

Gyaf,

Jewls and yourself are wanting the lower grille in black. I will make one in black and the paint and black trim would make the grille a bit more? What are your takes on this? Give me a reasonable pricing for me to consider. :D

Keep in mind that the black paint will need to be retouch every now and then.

Black or Chrome finished

Postby michaels artic frost » Fri Jul 30, 2004 10:45 am

Michael T's Custom Lower Grille for the 2004 Toyota Solara is now available in BLACK or polished aluminum chrome finish.

I did not paint the black, the black finished came straight from the supplier in the black finish. So when ordering, please specify a BLACK or Chrome finish.

Thanks,
Michael

Michael,
Any chance of getting some tightly cropped closeup photos of the new upper grille insert? I'd love to see them and think that those photos would surely help you with sales. Also, how about a brief description of how you are keeping the emblem firmly attached?

slingshot,

I will take some more close up pictures this weekend. A brief description will be posted as well. So, anyone that have questions and would like them to be answered, please post and I will compile a list as I did for the Custom Lower Grille and will have a Q&A format for the Custom Upper Grille.

Just EDITING this so I don't post another one.

cklinh wrote:I think he means whether it'd be glossy, matte, metallic, or other... there is a "black pearl paint", but doesn't look like the black pearl emblems.

Since it is a manufactured product (not painted) I would assume that it's metallic black?

Thanks for clarifying that up. Yes, the black should be a glossy finished, however, it's on route to my home at the moment, so I do not have the BLACK mesh in possession. I will confirm once I receive the materials.

For those who are interested in the BLACK finished, please do not place orders until Monday, August 9th, 2004.

However, the Chrome finished is ready to be ordered.
