Aiite, so i've finally decided to put parts into my '00 Solara SE V6. I'm really confused on where I should start first. I want it to look nice *nothing crazy* and be fast. So i've decided to get the Molley Kit and a set of Konig Tantrum /w Proxy. (i kno some people don't like the tantrums.. i think they look good on the car though.. ) I'm planning to get the following and i want people to give me some feedback.

My Solara is Black on Beige so it's really hard for me to do things so it looks good:

Performance & Exterior parts:
1) Like I said, got the kit and rims so i can't do much about it now.
2) I wanna get the Injen Intake, but i'm not too sure about the CAI extension b/c my friend's prelude has CAI and it broke down on him when it was snowing. So I'd like to ask for some feedback.
btw.. how much do the KN filters run and approx how much hp do i get from that?
3) I wanna get the Greddy Evo II Catback + Exhaust.
4) What's a good header?
5) Tein springs
6) TRD Supercharger - a man can dream, but i don't think i'll be able to get that anytime within the next 5 years. :(
7) btw.. where did that guy with the tubro charged Solara get that custom TRD hood..?? Tat crap is hot~ :o

Interior:
I was poor when i first got the car. Barely could afford it, so i don't have leather seats. Are leather covers a good idea? I changed my dash already but it blew on me *ArGh~*

yea.. so what do u guys think i should get first..? suggestions on what brand i should get.. anything.. i'd love info from you guys.. thanx a bunch..

As Milt said before, go with a trd drop in filter. The injen short ram intake w/o the CAI is just a hot air intake and has been discussed alot already (search for it). Headers will run you a good $1500 and are an excellent mod w/ the s/c. I would definitly go for the body kit though as the solara looks sweet with it on. Are you going to tint your windows?

I started working my Solara about 2 years ago and I swear I can not stop. It can be expensive at times but if done right you will love the end results. Check my site and see a list of all I've done so far and there are links to get upgrades for your TOY!!

Good luck and have fun.. 8)

Me, I like to save up and get lots of mods done at once. i.e. can't get rims without dropping and dropping makes you want to get rims. one hand washes the other. You will enjoy this site and learn lots. Good Luck!

whatever you do to your solara may be fun to you. But please, do not put a type R sticker on your car. After seeing your username, I think you are tempted to do so. :D

welcome

k&n drop-in filter at your local checker auto/pep boys/autozone etc should be $40.. $36 if u have military discount

greddy 2 is excellent.. but if your tight on money.. a custom setup is just as good

only headers available are JPP and XERD.. JUST KIDDING  :drinking: .. only JPP offers headers, their headers are totally worth it from what ive been reading and hearing
$1300

good luck with you ride.. lol i bet your gonna have more mods than me.. and ive owned my solara for the past 4yrs

haha.. sorry.. i didn't plan on putting the Type R sticker on my car.. I'M GOING TO PUT THE GTR EMBLEM ON IT~!!! muhahahaha.. jk jk.. i'm not tat bad yet.. :-P i just couldn't think of a user name.. btw.. i just want to know what's the best thing to put in.. i'm not really tight on cash.. but anything reasonable would be nice..

btw.. what do u mean by custom setup for the exhaust..?!?! is that cheaper..?? b/c i'm looking for a nice hum noise on my car.. i can't really stand the ROARs.. so i'm really debating on the exhaust part.. and um.. wat does the drop in filter do..?? does that sound better..??

another thing is.. for dropping the car.. what's a good recommendation..?? i heard that if i put the teins in.. then i should get struts.. bla bla bla.. and i don't kno how much tat'd gonna run up to.. so can u guys gimme some good suggestions..? i mean.. if dropping is around 500ish.. i can handle that.. i'll just ditch the tinting idea.. :-P *my baby is black neways.. i don't wanna look like night rider..*

btw does anyone have leather seat covers on their car..? i'd like to know how they look like b/c i wanna get that too..

Yo, do the search and you'll be surprised of how much information you get.

Btw,
The Tokico Blue Gas Shocked is about $350 shipped from ebay.
The Tein S Spring is about $150 shipped from ebay.
The installation is depended. You can do it yourself with the diagram from Peter in the DIY forum. You can have friends helping you out. Or you could take it to the tires shops. Some people have paid up to $300 for installation.

For the leather seat covers, I recall the whole sets for 4 would cost you around $350 plus shipping. Look in the for sale section couple months back and you will find it.
