seeing as the 5s on the mr2 and camry/solara are similar, besides having a new bung made for a 02 sensor and cutting the b pipe, what else do you guys think we would need to do to get a mr2 header to fit.

It looks like it should bolt up other than the changes you pointed out. Might need to add a bracket or two, but pretty easy stuff IMHO. Might want to check and make sure it would clear the front motor mount, but that is the only other problem I can think of. Are you planning something with those?
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Rippmods has a header for their S/C kit. I believe you can use that easily without buying the S/C but i ain't a car mechanic so I could be wrong.

yes... u can... but u really need an A/F controller if u plan on gettin this... especially if u have or plan on gettin an exhaust and intake... i have an intake n custom catback exhaust and i really need that Apex-i SAFC... my car back fires a lot and i need a silencer to produce just enough back pressure so it doesnt backfire when i rev up... lataz

The flange will fit i think, but does Mr2 and solara has same motor mount spots? My concern is the clearnance of motor mount. if it is clear, than maybe with a custom down pipe to match it up it might work.

for MAxboost...

you have back fire at high rev, it is either incorrect back pressure from the exhaust or the car just runs damn rich. have you reset your ECU after you install the intake? what is your intake diameter?

Isn't it like $465 for the headers, downpipe, & highflow cat with Ripp mods? Its a 4-2-1 set up.

With the pic above, it looks like it will fit. Motor mounts should be the same.

its cuz its runnin too rich... yes.. i did reset my ecu after the intake install and it is a 3" diameter intake.... backfire 1st occured when i put just a muffler on and that was way b4 i got my intake... it didnt happen that often though... i got my intake... then i got the 2.5" custom catback pipng... thats when the backfire got bad.... any ideas on how 2 fix this? lataz

man i have the same issue on the back pressure.
when i got my dual i had the pipe rite after the cat the same diamater, but rite where it bends after the fuel tank the pipe was cut and a Y was placed, the pipes after the Y were reduced to 2 inch. and sense then freakin lots of back pressure, do u think its becoz the decrease in diamater or wut other possible thoughts, thnx

i have the PCP intake which is a 3" diameter pipe, gettin more air than u... and i still get backfire horribly... the only thing i can suggest is the Apex-i SAFC or any other a/f controller u can get a hold of.. you're gonna have to get it tuned of course but that should do the trick... i'll ask a few of my friends what other suggestions they have to fix this problem as soon as i can n let u know if there is any other way... lataz

I think you should call injen first and ask about the problem. SAFCII + tunning is alot of money. have you guys check your spark plug?
