Well if you keepin wit OEM bumpers, go wit TRD kits it looks the best.
For a system to be really good, and bumppin' be ready for some paper for that.
Performance is pretty easy some minor bolts could make it quicker.
V6 or I4??

it is complete up to you, but i think you should lower it first because without lowering, solara drives like a boat.

First aesthetic mod: Clear Corners

First Suspension mod: TRD Rear Sway bar

First Performance mod: Injen Intake

First Audio mod: New Headunit

First Interior Mod: Reverse glow Guages, or red gauges if glow isnt your thing.

Pick where you want to start, and see which path you want to go down.

ohhh yeah i already got clear corners...DIY *looks proud at self*....did a good job

what kind of head units look good? I went on crutchfield and the only had the little ones i dont wanna have all that plastic around it u know. might consider getting a nav unit but that is starting to get a little steep in price

about how much would lowering cost me i got a few bills and i think i could do it but i dont wanna get ripped off

can i do the gauges myself...(im kinda handy) and where would i get them?

(i thought all sle's were v6.... :o)

(sorry didnt know where to post....i thought it was just gonna be a general discussion :oops: )

All SLE up to 2003 were V6. For 2004+, the have a I4 SLE.

Make sure you wanna drop if your gunna drop. Dropping makes it look better, but makes it ride stiffer, and ride lower. Stiffness and lowness is also preference.

Struts = 325
Springs = 150
Labor = 175
Total cost to drop would be about $650. RSB is only $150 and is a DIY, so thats why I suggested that first.

What you want for a headunit is a double DIN head unit. There arent too many out there though, most people just use a single DIN one and put a pocket under it.

If you dont want to change the headunit but want better audio, get an amp and some subs in the trunk. Its the best upgrade you can do for your sound fill.

work on suspension first...lowering it would cover both aesthetic and handling performance

id say audio then suspension... will see if you have $ left after that

as far as audio goes...

pioneer 860 or 960

cdt components ( i can hok you up w/ a deal that will put trhezebs prices to shame)

4 channel amp- (id suggest going active and using the electronic crossovers the declk provides)

many choices for sub amps...
as for subs id suggest
id max
resonant enginering
ascendant audio
soundsplinter

pm if you have questions
