Rear Sway Bar & Boost Guage Specials!

Rear Sway Bar & Boost Guage Specials!

Postby eddie » Thu Dec 12, 2002 8:06 am

Here are some specials I am running right now for December and January only.

00602-48830-010 Solara Rear Sway Bar $150.00
00602-83100-002 4Runner Boost Guage $90.00

These prices include shipping (continental u.s. only), Let me know if you are interested! The TRD boost guage is great for our applications because it only goes up to 15 psi as opposed to others that go to 30. I highly recommend them, and of course they are TRD quality. You would just have to figuire a way to mount them to your application. I molded the 4Runner mounting pod to my piller and it looks and works perfect. The only thing you will need is an elbow connector to mount it under your strut brace as the supplied one will not clear.

The rear sway is the same for all Solaras right? (I have a 02)

Also,
How hard is it to install?

and final question,
which reduces body roll more (price to performance comparison, of course), a sway bar or a stiffer suspension (iono how much...) ?

:D
Thanks

a stiffer suspension will make a much bigger difference than a sway bar, but its not really a fair comparison...(and obviously a suspension is much more $)
get both!

If eddie can't give a good deal on the supercharger, there are still a few sites that have extended the deal until Dec 31. I'll let eddie respond and if he can't help you out i'll post them. He hooked us all up so i'm sure he'll take care of you

How about a decent forged internals kit, or more affordable coilover kit...

The rear sway bar is the same for all Solaras.
It's pretty easy to install.
The sway bar will give you the most performance for the dollar, but it's not really a fair comparison. The stiffer suspension will reduce body roll, but it reduces dive and squat, as well. It gives you a much more solid feel on the road. Overall, it's a much better upgrade, but also more expensive. The sway bar is a good first mod, if you can't spend more than the $150 it costs. It only does one thing, and that is to minimize lateral swaying. Keep in mind, if you want to reduce overall sway, you will need to upgrade both the front and the rear bar. Many people only upgrade the rear bar in our cars because stiffening the rear helps reduce understeer. Since understeer is so noticeable in FWD cars, many people like to reduce it as much as possible to neutralize the handling.

new boost guage to the TRD line-up

Postby eddie » Fri Dec 13, 2002 9:39 am

TRD just released a new Tundra Boost guage with white face back that lights up green and goes up to only 10psi, which is even better for us. I can also sell these $90.00 shipped if anybody is interested.
