Let fellow SolaraGuy members know who you are and what kind of Solara you have. You don't have to follow my entry (Steve "Mookie" Kong). Put as much information as you feel comfy with, but what is required is that you tell us about your Solara :)

Keep the chat in here to the car and the person. Otherwise start a new thread over in General.

My solara

Postby bchguy111 » Mon Oct 06, 2003 12:13 pm

I'm the owner of a 1999 Toyota Solara SE-V6 with auto. It's red w/a tan interior. I just got in mid August. So far, I'm more then happy with the car. I got it with 97,000 miles and I now have 102,000 miles. It's a great car. :D

New to List

Postby Bill Nolan » Tue Jul 20, 2004 6:25 am

Hey all! As a former VW List subscriber and now a 02 Solara convertible owner, I am writing to introduce myself to THIS list.
Mine is a red, 02 SLE convertible, mid-life crisis car but I don't have a toupee or a pinkie ring or a big gold chain around my neck-yet.

toyota convert

Postby jbn19431938 » Sat Jul 24, 2004 5:26 am

Have previously been a died in the wool Honda fan: 6 Hondas (or should it be Hondae), all Civics. Bought low mileage used Camry and fell madly in love. Recently sold Civic and totalled Camry. Replaced with 2002 Camry and 1999 Solara, both V6s.

Am following suspension postings here as Solara seems a bit rattly in front end, but otherwise beaitiful car.

Boston resident all my life and am avoiding the city this week because of Democratic Naional Convention and its traffic.

Love this site!

Basic, but hopeful...

Postby P Funky » Mon Sep 06, 2004 10:16 pm

Got an '00 Solara 4-cyl (sigh...) in '02 when my '93 Camry (187k miles) got totalled (still ran fine up to then...). I got it at 28k miles, and in 2 years have it up to 85k... I like road trips.

I'm a po' college student, and I'm working on just keeping her regularly washed and maintained, but I'd like to start messing around with cheap-ish projects to make her feel special.

Her name is Sunny (a play on Solara).
