A Tough Decision But Necessary

I certainly understand were you are coming from. My previous car I had to sell for that same reason. I really hated to let it go. When mods get extreme cars always become unreliable. That sucks too. I hope you still come buy and post still. And if you decide to part out your car, I wouldn't mind buying your new black headlights.

I'm a newb but I can't imagine any toyota less then 15 years much less 6 years old having so many problems that you would have to sell it.

I'd like some insigt. wtf? what gives?

Really sorry to see you go that route. I have an older Supra that I feel the same way about sometimes. Actually, it's the reason that I bought the Solara. I needed a car that started everyday and got me to work and the like.

Good luck and I for one will always look back on your posts to re-read the great information that you have provided to this community. Thank you for all you did and the sharing of knowledge.

I've been feeling the same way lately Greg...you're not alone in this.

Wishing you the best w/ your decision. What's going to happen to the solara now?

Hello Mike,

Well I'm going to get it driveable and then sell to one of the young studs in the area. Everytime my daughter and I push it out of the garage they all just stand and stare. It will most likely be wrecked within six months but, it will not be broke in my garage. If I had it to do all over again. I would have taken a whole different route believe me.

Just do your homework before you do any modding. Don't get talked into something that sounds good. Go slow and deal with people you know if possible. IMHO

with modifications comes unreliability... which is why I chose to not run more than 4 psi of boost... Im running stock boost and beating new Mustang GT's... thats all I wanted to get out of it... just aim for something reasonable if you want to keep a car as a daily driver
Parting out my car!!! great upgrades for sale!

Greg, just cause you may have done too much to the solara you have now doesnt mean you cant start over with another one. Just dont mod it as heavily. You can also transfer some parts that wont be bad from your current car. Here is a start check it out. The auction is over but contact the guy and see if they still have it. I really hate seeing you part from the solara community.
