Here you go. FYI I'm using Phillips 6000k Ultinon bulbs so that's why they have more color at the cutoff. I also did a washer mod to add more blue/purple color at the cutoff.

It is really hard to find a dark area or even a white flat wall to drive up against. I'll take more pics as I see better places for wall shots and I'll snap new pics after I throw a bezel around the projectors. The color flicerk is super crazy whlie driving, I'm much happier with this retro fit as compared to my first and it was much easier to do the second time around.

Nice! The problem with a gen1 Solara would be the dual filament bulb (we don't have seperate bulbs for brights). Could you do something similar, but use dual filament HID's? Would it still be effective?

I'd be interested if you could, how much are we talking (including harness/bulb, a good brand) total? I don't have much in my budget at the moment unfortunately :P.

That looks good. The best projectors out there are the LS430s. They have the widest beam and a perfect cut off.

For the money the TSX's are probably among the best. LS430's are gonna cost you some $$$. As for the single bulb in the gen 1's I've thought of that and probably could get a bulb in there but not sure how it would work.

TSX's run probably 180-220 depending on where you get them.

Is that price just for the lens, or for the whole assembly (with or w/o bulbs)? Never looked into it, but might make a good summer project, I could get ahold of some extra headlights and give it a shot. Any advice?

200 is for the projector itself, lens, projector bowl, bulb holder. Bulbs are not included at that price, expect to pay anywhere from 50-100 a pair depending on the bulbs condition. Ballasts and what not are an extra 100-200 depending on the setup you get.

For me the projectors costed me 200, ebay aftermarket headlights with angel eyes (crappy LED ones) 130, HID ballasts 180, Philips Ultinon bulbs 150 (used with broken return wires) I also have regular Philips 4100k bulbs that were I think 100 for the pair new.

That's all considering I did the labor myself, but average installers on HID planet charge probably 275+ depending on the quality of the retroer and also the car they're working with and what you want done.

If I start doing this I would charge a lot less, but the High Beam issue with gen 1 solaras might pose a problem so that would likely increase install time and costs. Not to mention making a new wiring harness for it.

I didn't get to do my retro because I couldn't find an extra set of lights. I'm willing to sell my TSX projectors to anyone who's gonna have 808 Camry do their projectors. I can easily drop them off to him since we both live in Hawaii. Price is $190
