Eh? S-techs cause camber issues with camrys? Is it really bad? H-techs don't? I'm gettin some springs next week and wasn't sure what I should get or if I should even look at another companys... any suggestions? I'm gettin tokicos, Jims fuel mod and maybe the SAFC

The camber problem varies between cars. My camber was pretty bad, but I have a lot of weight in my car too, maybe that contributed. Anytime you lower, you run the risk of camber, caster displacement. Just get an alignment right after you lower and they will tell you if you need cam bolts to correct the camber. I wouldn't get too worried about it.

Does It matter which springs I get then? 4cyl spring the same as 6cyl?

Suspension is the same for Gen1-1.5 no matter the engine. H-techs dont drop as much as S-techs. And im pretty sure there are usually no major camber issues with a drop on S-techs or Eibachs as far as I know - I know theres a thread with a few guys discussing this before somewhere.

I have s-techs on my car, I had no camber issues at all. You can tell once you get your car done if you have any bad camber. Just make sure you take it in for alignment like the other guy said. They will tell you if you need a camber kit. And if you do it will only cost like 20-30 bucks.

yep, its pretty cheap insurance for you tires. I also have 18's which added to the camber issue.

much thanks, weren't you waiting for the H-techs too 1st Gen Sol? Tein's reply was that they cancelled the Solara H-techs due to a lack of interest.

BTW: I didn't have many alignment problems with the either the Eibachs, or the Tein H-techs. Bought the camber correction bolts but fortunatly I havent had to use them as of yet.

Yeah I was gonna get a set, then I moved on to other projects and decided to go with another setup. 8)

Doesn't matter if they decided to cancel them b/c there out for the Camry so either way there will be a way to get them........plus the springs weren't advertised or promoted to well so that probably added to the decision of cancelling production.

Well now now Im just curious. What set up did you go with? S-techs? Coil-Overs?.....

I agree Tein could have done a better job advertising, or just looking at the specs and putting the camry part number next to the Solara :)

I doubt Ill be the only one for long....Thats not a bad thing, happy to share the info here!
