dwp repaint with pearlescent color change?

I know that the white on the gen1 is already pearl, but if I wanted to go "pearlescent" like that I've seen on other white cars that shows more of a chameleon sorta color change, would the car need a total repaint just to do that or could I somehow keep the dwp already on the car? Totally clueless on paint jobs for cars, any help would be appreciated.

well, total repaint. old clear and base has to be stripped, primered, base coats reapplied, then clear. Plan to spend at least 3-6 grand. the chameleon looks rice anyways, keep it dwp and you will get a lot more respect.

Ah I see. Yea I don't like the chameleon at all, just those white pearl cars that are more "pearly" than ours per se. Anyways thx for the info and nice Jackalope? haha.

Pearls look good on white cars.I had the pearl on mine changed from white to blue...looks sweet. hard to match mine though, I always have to go back to the same place, no one else will touch it

Thanks man, i'm a nebraska native so we see them all the time... Actually, I used to work at cabelas and you would not believe how many mounted jackalopes we sold to people that thought they were real. (wannabe outdoorsmen from the coasts) I had a lot of fun with those guys. he he.
