well..i know IcrazychrisI will tell you not to go w/ VIS

although, i think that has more to do w/ the installation than the actual product.

The ViS hood wont come out for a while, but the price should be cheaper than Fiber Images'. You might also lose some quality workmanship w/ the ViS. If you check TeamSC3's forums, they is now a 3rd company working on a c/f hood for our cars.

Hey,

I guess I'm the third party selling the hoods! Well just to introduce myself I'm Chuck from Showstoppers USA in Glendale, CA. I'm one of the rare shop owners building a Solara as a company car. I've noticed a lot of problems with other company's carbon hoods and was directed to this site because I carry a hood that fits and is great quality. Let me know if you guys are interested. Price is very very decent! Thanks

I doubt the VIS units will be available anytime in the near future. The Fiber Images units are solid...a LOT of people are running those without hoodpins and have had no problems. I personally have pins. Since I'm sponsored by Fiber Images, I try to push their product, but it's not the cheapest out there...in fact it's probably one of the more pricey units. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

On a side not, has anyone gone out to ShowStoppers to check out the quality of their hoods? :) Might want to do that before commiting to a purchase.

Why don't you give Fiber Images a call? www.fiberimages.com Don't be afraid to contact them directly...you don't have to get ALL your information here...ask around. :)
