hey guys, ive been toying with the idea of getting some racing seats to dress up the interior.... anyone else have them in their car? im also kinda concerned about how my seatbelts would still work... ive got a power seat as well.... any input is appreciated... and pics!

i think shidosha has them in his solara. they look pretty good if uve done alot. for sure u'd need to get new racing seatbelts.

You can still use the factory seatbelt for daily driving and just toss in a 3 / 4 pointer for track days. Make sure that you get a seat / harness combination that is certified with whatever sectioning body is relevant. FYI Corbeau offers seat bracket kits for our cars.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

pm sent... ok great guys.. i think theyd look sweet. how is it poosible for me to use the factory belts?? arent they bolted onto the seats? and what would i do in regards to the power drivers seat and the seatbelt warning lights on the drivers side and the one by the clock for the passenger?

Yeah you can get racin' seats in the Solara.
You can still use the OEM seatbelt if you like.
There is another alternative to keep you OEM seat belt.
I think it called somethin' Loc.
I will have to look it up in the my car magazine.

The Corbeau bracket has an adapter for the OE seatbelt connection. The wiring plugs into a connector on the fastener, and therefore allows the seatbelt warning light to function normally.
