I admire your resolve to stick with the Solara/Camry platform. Obviously, other platforms would be more condusive to big power, but don't have the orginality of this project.

Personally Gabe I think you are trying to compensate for something!
The fact that you have a Toyota of course. You thought wiring your V6 conversion car was a challenge, heh, tuning your fuel and timing with a blower, turbo and nitrous will either make you or break you. Hopefully that overseas sponsor sees your potential and keeps funding your addiction.

Sorry I've missed your calls Gabe! I've been out of town for the president's day weekend but I assume this is what you were calling me about. I would strongly recommend you get in contact with Alamo Motosports in Texas. They were featured in Turbo Magazine doing the 1mz swap s/c with turbo. Rumor has it that that company has worked that project for over a year getting the turbo to spool up right with addition to the s/c. I believe they were talkin about a 70k dollar project.

Give them a call and I'm this will save you some time in getting your project done to get that beast of yours out on the road.

Keep it up!

Even with the LSD, do you think you'll be able to get traction?

lsd with a beefed up tranny, stage 4 clutch ,aftermarket axles, and HUGE slicks. Gonna have the fenders rolled up front so make room for a bigger tire.

Shidosha01 is right. I know I don't post here much, but I've been around since camryman's old message board days and I still check out the site occasionally. I read about Alamo's project MR2 where they swapped in a 1MZ with a supercharger and a turbo. They did everything and did it right. It was a badass car. I've been to Alamo Austosports, it's in Arlington which is where I'm originally from, and I can't think of any shop that I'd trust more to advise on your project. They've done exactly what you're looking to do, minus the nitrous. They can tell you what computers to use and give you all sorts of insight you can't get elsewhere.
