Im not a big speed/racin guy, Im more of an audio person.BUT Id still like to know all modifications I can do to make my car faster WITHOUT screwing any of my warranty/extended warranty up. If possible could you also include the potential gains? I have a '03 SLE..and how the hell do i add that to the bottom of my thing..is that the signature or somethin?

Yea, thats the signature part. As for the mods, I don't believe a Supercharger would void a warranty and I know a K&N Air Filter won't, however that will only give small (2HP) Gain. The other guys (and Gals) should have some better info for ya.

The TRD supercharger will not void your warranty. In fact if its installed by an authorized TRD dealer you will have it added to your 5yr/60k mile powertrain warranty.

A K & N will not void your warranty

A Catback exhaust will not void your warranty.

yea, definately go w/ the supercharger, k&n, and exhaust if u're worried about the warranty. but then again, if u ever do installs urself, u can always put everything back to stock and take it in...will they know?

as yanks said, any performance parts made by TRD and installed by a Toyota dealer will not void your warranty. other things are touch-and-go. if you start playing around with electronics, you MAY void your warranty on electrically related items. doesn't sound like a big deal, but remember engine ECU would fall into that category (which has an 8yr/80K warranty). if you have a question on a specific part's warranty, let me know. and happy modding!

Since you guys are on the topic of warranty.. i had a questions... im more of a audio person also.. not much of engine mods.. but i was wondering about the electronic warranty... if you put in your own stereo system such as headunit. amps and other speaker products. will this void electronic warranty?? or will others void it... anyone know other types of electronic mods that will void that such warranty... ?? thanks

If your aftermarket devices cause the damage, then it will void the warranty. If your set up is really safe (no broken wires, have safety fuses, proper installation), you will be fine. If it happen, then at most just take them out before you take it to dealer. If this dealer dont take your car, another one might take it.

Ultraslow is right, if its obvious to a dealer that the install was done correctly, and did not cause the problem in question, the repairs shouldn't be a problem. however, they do have the right to deny your eligibility for warranty if they feel that your mods caused the problem. for example even if aftermarket wheels are the same overall height as stock, since its not what Toyota recommends on the car, it COULD affect suspension and the deealer COULD deny a suspension warranty. will most dealers do this: NO. but, they do have the right to. is that clear as mud?!

Where in Chicago are you located at? There are about a handful of us who could show you what we've done to our Gen4/Solara.

Did they actually start shipping yet. Last time someone called they weren't out. I'd love to see some dyno numbers too. I'm personally waiting for the Cattman. Much more R & D went into that CAI
