What color should i get? EDITED - process check

I think red it fine if you want it to stand out. Most big brake kits are red, black, or gold. At least the ones ive seen. I personally went with black because I didnt want the red to stand out. The only colors i was considering was silver or black. I didnt go with silver cause it would show the dirt easily and so would white for your case. Plus people who knotice the black calipers are true car people just cause they pay attention to the very minor details. Red is good. I temp spray paint will work too, I just told you about this kit cause everything you need comes with it and you dont have to worry about over spray getting everywhere. You also dont have to remove the calipers. With spray paint you may want too, just to make sure you dont get it all over the place.

just paint the caliper. I seen on some other car by me, they painted the caliper and the whole ring around it. Looked horrible.

^ I tried not to get paint on those things, but I messed up and got some on anyway... didn't do anything. So, yeah, avoid if you can, otherwise, no biggie.

cool thanks!

oh n alisha - ur pics are pretty much the reasoni went with red

so heres wat i'm thinking - i've got 4 jack stands.

so can i do this?
1) while the cars on the floor - loosen all the lugs for all tires
2) lift front driver side - put a jack stand under it
3) lift front pass side and put a jack stand under it.
4) lift back and do the same like the front.

5) take wheels off and then start the cleaning and painting process. I'm thinking i'll do about 4-5 coats. and then leave the car overnite to dry.

its probably going to be about 45degrees tonite..is that fine? will it take longer to dry?

aww thanks sap.. check on my page again, i uploaded a pic for u i had when i had my stocks and with my caliper painted. it should b legit enough to see what the outcome should be and also considering u got the gen.2 stocks. Its a very easyy process and a very easy mod to draw more attention to ur ride.Hope all goes well tonight. You'll be able to tell when u dont need any more coats on. When I put my 20s on, i'm going to have my calipers painted again.

Just out of curiosity, are you doing this outside or in a garage? Dont worry it doesnt really matter. I just think it would be funny for people to see your car in your driveway over night sitting on jackstands.
