the real TRD had been discontinue for a while. it is very hard to find one, you should keep your eyes on used kit if you want a real trd kit.

Cams? Not gonna happen, unless you got the money to throw down ;)

All you really got for motor mods are Injen, K&N drop in filter, headers, or TRD oil cap

The 5sfe I hear isnt the greatest 4cyl to be modding. Turbosolara has his 5sfe turboed and was putting like 185-190 whp down. Ill bet thats really as far as you want to push it without building. Stick with looks or do a v6 swap. Maybe a 2az would fit

Advice

Postby JMSinMaryland » Wed Jun 14, 2006 7:54 am

Don't waste your time or money trying to make a 4 cylinder fast. Lower the car, 18" rims and a nice tint. Shave off all the emblems (i.e. remove them). Jon.

the best way for your car to gain power are motor swaps. The 5SFE is really a weak motor to start out with and the aftermarket support for it is weak. I recommend dropping a 1MZ-FE motor in it, it is the V6 motor that goes into the Gen 1 and 1.5 Solara and it will fit nicely into your vehicle. Get a shop with a very good reputation to do the swap.

All this involves a lot of money so think really hard before you go through with this stuff.

Good luck. :D
