body kit

I am sure this has been asked before, and I did do a search, but I just am curious to what is the next best body kit after the TRD for ease of installation? - or, if you could just rank body kits. I am in the market for one.

thanks

TRD, TRD, TRD. Every other kit sucks, every other kit is ONLY made in FIBER...CRACK -err GLASS. I had the black widow, but I took the piece of sh*t front off and I'm about to take the sides off. But, I'm keeping the rear - only because I want to keep my dual catback exhaust. Anyways, all other kits have to be professionally installed because fiberglass molds are never exactly right. You can't go wrong with TRD!!!!!
Also, (only applies if your lowered) with bigger side skirts (bigger than TRD), you can never go to service on a lift on most places. If they do, they'll have to jack you ride up, just to get the arms under the skirts. That's where you'll have to worry about them cracking it. Too much headache to worry about IMO.

Larry FTW! He's right 100%, though his car looked good before I think it looks way more agressive now, adn especially will with the completion of the side skirts. If you're looking for cheap, then by all means get whatever kit you think looks the best. But if you're looking for quality, and IMO the best look anyhow, there's no other option but the TRD lip kit, and what a coinsidence, I've got one going up for sale soon :( I hate to part with it, but it's no sense to leave it on a car I'm selling, or a car I may be giving/selling to my sister, either way, I won't be leaving it on the car. It's black and needs repair on the rear center piece and rear passenger valence. It also has a small scrape on the drivers side skirt, and came brand new with a dime sized chip in the paint in the passenger skirt. Had I ketp the car I never would have bothered fixing the scrape or chip, but I would be repainting the rear piece from the accident. Don't know my exact asking price yet, but it will be up here sooner than later.

I am all about TRD, but I am having a tough time finding one. Especially since I just want to go piece by piece - starting in the front. Plus, I have metallic gold paint. I am scared that it is going to be tough to match that.

thanks for the replies

Question

Postby JMSinMaryland » Sat Jul 08, 2006 5:59 am

Larry/Astro,
I'm not quite sure about your logic with keeping the rear. The TRD would let you be able to maintain the dual exhaust. Here is a pic of my old setup. Jon.

Because I like the dual cutouts making it look like it belongs there, with the TRD it's looks like it doesn't belong and I don't like the just 'handing out look'.
