Short Studs on Solara

I just purchased a spare set of ADR Shiniwa rims for autocrossing. The guys at the tire shop said that I probably should get longer studs since their is only about a 1/4" engagement. Has anyone else dealt with this issue? I am using the lugs from my TRD wheels which seem to have the correct taper.

You probably got the wrong offset or design for the rims. Unless you have spacers on, you shouldn't have a problem with stud length.
