it has the answers. As for why it is low wheel hp is because it is probably an auto so about 20% loss.

I sent in the purchase order and CPE says that they will just be waiting for the pipes to be cut, bent, and powdercoated. They expect this to take approximately 2-3 weeks.

Group buy pricing will be closed on Thursday, November 30, 2006. If you want to get in on this, we need your order in the next 3 days.

The tuneable system alone costs $319.95. When packaged with the MAFci system, it's an additional $100.00. If you wanted to upgrade in the future, it would involve sending your non-programmable box back to CPE in exchange for the programmable version. This would need to be handled directly through CPE, and I'm not sure what they would charge.

ah, and the tunable box does come with the exact same parameters as the non-programmable right? I just want to make sure that When I install the box only, it will at least have what everyone else is running and not some mystery or worse-incorrect parameters. If I could get that, it'd be great.

If ordered along with the MAFci system, yes it does come pre-tuned with the same map as the non-tuneable version.

i really dont need the pipe, so any chance I can get it without it? If I can, I'm in.

The MAF Customizer that comes with the MAFci system is tuned to the pipe. If you don't want the pipe, you need to buy the standalone Tuneable MAF Customizer for $319.95. You can then hook it up and take your car to a dyno (with a wideband O2 sensor) in order to tune the device to work with your existing setup.

i know i can buy the stand-alone tunable box, but i just want to make sure that if i buy it, it will have the same preloaded maps the other guys are running (with the pipe). MY dilemma is that I want the tunable box w/preset maps like the package because I dont have money/time to get a dyno tune at the moment. Having the preset maps will at least ensure that I'm not going to damage my engine until I can get it tuned.

It just dont want to be penalized by having no pretuned maps on the standalone tunable box just because I didnt order the pipe as well.

Actually, it would be safer to run the standalone MAF Customizer with no map at all (i.e. same as stock) than it would be to run a map that was designed for a different intake. The pretuned map is designed to work specifically with the CPE intake. Running that map with another intake could be potentially harmful to your engine, especially if it turned out that it was causing it to run too lean. Without using a wideband O2 sensor, it would be impossible to know how the map was causing your car to react.
