Hey guys just wanted to post some pics on my latest project, I bought an extra cluster from Ebay $20 bucks, I just used the back piece of the cluster for the LED's and just transplanted the gauges. Might be a little blurry my camera sucks in taking pics in tha dark. I install the needle kit about 5 years ago. :D

On the gauges I use super flux LED's that I got on Ebay, on the climate control I got some LED's on superleds.com and just added a resistor. To make the LED's light not look to direct I just frosted them by using a dremel with a grinding stone :drinking:

just a side note, but where is the park light, drive light, neutral light, and all of those that are normally in between engine temp and gas?

Awesome job.

Also, how did you get your needles to look like that? I have some red 194 bulbs back there and everything is red, but I was going to get some white LEDs but I want to keep the needles red but wasn't sure how.

I tried several attempts at using LEDs behind the dash, and was NEVER able to get around the "focused" light in certain spots. I ended up using five white xenon 194 bulbs and 2 meters of white neon flex tubing. It's ghetto, but it looks decent. I'm thinking my best bet is to just grab an ES300 cluster and rewire.

NICE... Except [not to change the subject] you have to hold the camera extra steady in night shots. For taking pics of your gauge like that, I'd say use a tripod, but it's very impractical in a car, so it's recommended that you sit in the back seat and use the edge of your driver's seat to keep your camera steady while the shutter is open longer than usual. I thought my cheesy HP sucked too, but I just held it steady and it actually wasn't bad...

I say that because I want to see what it looks like unbiased by motion blur.
