Dems some REAL numbers. If these figures are off the Wheel, then you pick up another 10-15% at the crank, AT LEAST. (Probably more like 20%, unless you want to argue that the frictional losses are less than 10 percent through a front wheel drive Solara's automatic slush-box, drivetrain, converter, etc, etc... bad idea.) I would have to say the result is dramatic, for sure. Anyway... there is little MAGIC in making true gains, but numbers don't lie... unless they are falsified. The important thing about these charts, is not the "absolute number", which people think is "low", in the 170's and 180's and all, but the DIFFERENTIAL between the two is all that matters here. 10 and 12 points for HP and TQ respectively... and even MORE significatnt, LOOK HOW EARLY the TQ is coming up to those levels! PEAK numbers are hit some 500 RPM earlier, and then RISE an extra dozen points HIGHER, then CARRY the gains for LONGER than before. DRAMATICALLY increased powerband, around 750 to 1000 REAL RPM, with a strong, level bump through everything inbetween. The fact of the matter is, this type of mild increase in the proper usable range is what really improves the driving experience of a car like the Solara. You overcome some of the "transmission" woes with a quicker response and earlier load on it... the vacuum and valve driven circuits are forced to "commit" with more authority, and the titilating cacophony of thirty-three-hundred-cubic-centimeters inducting with a howling rush like the sucking sound of your bill collectors taking their share... all committing to the senses a Jekyll turned Hyde nature of our previous mount of grace and class turned hustling hooligan...


...like I said... I'm in the marketing division....

How do you feel now that EVERYBODY loving it !! I see that you continue your fuc king mascarade...nothing more to bring. I just read your sig...I never drove a car on boost...7 psi for 1MZ-FE is the most I saw on SG. I would like to have 7 psi of boost on my 3MZ-FE but sadly it would be really too costy to do my own turbo or SC, tune the CAMCOM and all the stuff around.

^^^ Sebas... some of us are just easy targets for a poke! Don't sweat it...

Personally, I think it's FUNNY and in great part TRUE that you (and I) make it a point to promote what we use and believe to be good equipment... others do it with suspension, body work, etc, etc... it's all good. (and ultimately, just opinion...)


Regarding my picture... NO... not YET! I, also would like to place my battery in the trunk... or SOMEHOW setup a nice "cold-air/pressurized air" type box or "cavity" around the intake filter. Mainly to assure only fresh air is available to it. HEAT is such a MAJOR enemy to power and performance... (I already picked up an ATF COOLER - HAYDEN - for my tranny... which will go on this spring.) Currently, my engine compartment is not modified in such a way, and the battery is right where it was from the factory. (Removed after intake install for the photo, only...)

On ANOTHER note... QUICK! Your setup is SWEEEEET! How about some more pics of that! THREE yellow-tops??? What type of car stereo setup do you have?? (Or do you just JUMP other cars alot in the winter??? Perhaps service electric GOLF CARTS on the side??? )

Sebas, regarding boost... I don't know that 7 is the highest... was it "Trd4life" or someone who was pushing 9? (I push up to 17psi in my '89 supra... usually kept at 15 or 16 in MAX mode... or dialed down to 12 for regular driving... plenty to walk on most cars... around 325-350 bhp at that level... about 400 at max.)

So why 3 yellow-tops? Either you're pushing some serious wattage with your stereo, or you have old-skool hydraulics!

The guy that installed my S-AFCII recommended moving my battery to the trunk.
When I had my stereo installed, I mentioned it to the installer. What you see is the outcome. Its a work in progress. My stereo doesn't really sound all that good. I ran out of money to complete the project, but I'm well on my way.
The stereo guy suggested the three batteries to eliminate the need for a capacitor. Thats why.
