Cylinder 6

Postby PDX SuperSolara » Tue Mar 13, 2007 9:14 am

The front bank of cylinders is the even numbers 2 4 6. #6 is the one closest to the transmission in front. Coli packs are a fairly common problem, test it by trading with another cylinder up front. If the miss moves, the coil pack is bad.

Glad you got her fixed. As a precaution I'd change the other two as well. I got two you can have dirt cheap. I don't need them.

When my dads sienna van had a misfire problems we put the coil packs in my car and it misfired on same cyl as on his. But The Cel dosnt stay on When it blinks it indicates something is wrong But the code is still there, So what you should have done was go and get that code read .. You made a big mistake with Bosche Sparks They Suck Ass on our cars

I just worked on a Sienna van on saturday that had a miss in three cylinders. Did a tune up and three coils first, and that cleared up two misfires, but cylinder three was still bad... did the injector and that cleared up as well (sucks to do the odd injectors cuz you gotta unbolt the manifold). Just wanted to add that here because the coils and the injector went at the same time, which makes it hard to diagnose.. the dealer wanted to sell them a new engine for 8 grand! The NJK coils went for about 90 bucks (as compared to 95 from toyota or 160 from bosch); the njk wire set was 50, and the injector was 160 (cali emissions model).
