Sea Foam (With Pic )

Heres a little run through on how to use Seam Foam and where.. All info can also be found online..

1. With engine warm, I pulled the brake booster tube of first then started the car.. you can also use the P.C.V. valve. Then slowly pour 1/3 to 1/2 pint through Brake booster line. Do not place the tube into the can.. This will pull SEA FOAM down on top of the pistons and to the back of the intake valves to dissolve carbon. Turn ignition off. Restart engine after 5 - 15 minutes.

In addition you can ( AND / OR )

2.Pour 1/3 to 1/2 pint into oil crank case to clean rings, lifters, dirty parts and remove moisture.

3.Pour 1/3 to 1 full pint into fuel tank to clean injectors, carburetor jets, fuel lines and remove moisture.

4.An Oil change is recommend soon after to get rid of all the junk that might have been broken up. As well as replacing spark plugs that might be fouled.

****Make sure exhaust is well ventilated when using Sea Foam in these various ways as fumes will be extreme for a short time.***** :sweet:

Results: Smoother idle, increased R.P.M.'s better throttle response and improved performance. See label on can for more info

On the brakebooster and in the gas tank is good at any milage. I'd recommend you do these and then a week later get your sparks examined.

If there was a leak somewhere being sealed by gunk/sludge, then this may loosen this up..as a result your may exp some leaking. I still use it on my high milage cars as well (cus i've been using it ever since they were 50K miles young).

Good write up man.
And if you do have an exhaust leak, then SeaFoam will let you know.

So spark plugs should be 'examined' afterwards?
Ive also heard seafoam can cause the 02 sensor to give you a check engine light?

I just bought some plugs and do plan on doing seafoam in about 2k before I change my oil...

Some members here suggest to examine them during the oil change (which follows sea-foam process), but I wouldn't be that eager (yeah, you can 'also' do that to satisfy your curiocity), but I'd rather wait two weeks after the oil change to examine them.
