This is going to be one of my small projects at some point. I was planning on taking the trim pieces to a body shop and have them spray it the same color as the car and then clear it. I got a quote before for $100 bucks to do it.

thats like what i was thinking about to, except 100? That is still cheaper than a kit, but a bit pricey.
How well will spray paint fare against body shop paint?

i spray painted mine last summer, used 2 or 3 coats of paint, then clear coat...it lasted pretty good, the only chips and scratches are on the passenger side where my passengers havn't been as careful as the should have been. drivers side still looks nice.

im gonna get it professionally sprayed this summer. i got quoted $75.
