Tein or Eibach?

Tein or Eibach?

Postby TekHick34 » Thu May 03, 2007 6:44 pm

i'm debating between Tein and Eibach and possible TRD lowering springs. i'm new with all of these car parts stuff (former truck owner, but lover of my solara) if any of you guys have personal prefrences or know from experience that would be great.

Also if i get lowering springs, how needed are new struts? i'd like to keep the stock ones for now until i get some money but if i should just do it all at once i'll probably wait. thanks again!

1) Tein, dunno why, maybe I like the green (also, eibach and TRD are the same thing)

2) Buy struts and do it all at once. People say it doesn't matter whether you have aftermarket struts or not, but I think it's important because the stock struts are not meant for that kind of lowering, plus, depending on the strut, it helps the handling just a little bit more.

i have eibachs and love them..i think tein lowers a little more tho..and cheaper..

but yea for sure get aftermarket struts at the same time..cuz it sucks takin out the whole back jus to get at the back struts..and if u keep you stock ones ull eventually have to replace them anyway cuz there are meant to be used wit stock springs and will go bad sooner.

..its recently been talked about so that should help some.

Get struts to go along with it so you can go another 100K before aother suspension overhaul.

Teins are koo. It is a more aggressive drop with a lil more in the front but overall better drop.. eventhough, i still dont think "my" drop on teins is enough...

Although i havent rode in a eibach solara, i heard Teins have a more comfortable daily driving ride than the Eibach. Eibach might be a bit more stiffer than the teins.

i would get the eibach. theyre a bit stiffer as well as provide a more even looking drop.
