Replaced front turn signal bulbs and now indicators are fast

I replaced my front turn signal bulbs tonight with led versions. I should have checked the signal themselves before putting them back in their housings but figured by doing a hazards test and seeing them flash they were good. Well I go to drive and when I use my signals the indicators are blinking superfast. Is this because the front bulbs are using different voltage? If I replace the rear signals with the same kind of led bulbs would this remedy my problem?

to simply explain it. your car thinks the lights are burnt out so it tries to notify you by blinking twice as fast. ans yes its the diff between voltage that causes this. and no that wont fix the problem

it's beacuse your rear ones aren't led as well and the amp/current thingy isn't even which causes it to blink extra fast. if you change your rear turns to leds as well your turn speed should be back to normal.

i dont know about you guys, but it worked for me at least..

Hmm, so Jeff is saying it'll remedy it. Well, it can't hurt to spend another 10 bucks or so (inc. shipping) to order another set for the rears. What kinda bulbs do the rear turn signals use? I gotta make sure I get bulbs with the same amount of leds for the rear as well then

The car isn't designed for LED bulbs. So when you put in LED bulbs, the circuit they are on acts the same way as if it was a burned out bulb.

Leds draw less power so they will flash faster on a circuit that is designed for more power.

To fix it get load resistors that go in the same wiring. You can find them at most auto part stores, or online.
