Drive your car on 4 pieces of wood and jack it up.

This is the only way to fit my hydralic jack under the car.

I suggest you find a friend who can lend them to you.

Jackstands are also useful for changing oil if you don't have a car ramp.

Jack stands are not that expensive the last time I check. If you were to get one, get two 2-tons one.

Would something like this be fine to use?
http://www.sears.com/sr/product/summary/productsummary.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1712034512.1054576527@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccdfadcihhhkgddcehgcemgdffmdfko.0&vertical=AUTO&bidsite=&pid=00950159000
I'm assuming the jack that came with the car is fine to lift the car onto these stands? Sorry for being a little dense, I've never had to use jack stands before.

Those stands would be fine. And yes, you can use your car jack to lift the car. When you put the stands under the car, make sure they contact a strong part of the car. Lower the car onto the stands and give the car a bit of a push to make sure everything is secure.

Would using the jack that came with the car be unsafe for installing the RSB? I don't own any type of industrial car jack, but I've also heard you need to have the wheels on the ground when you're installing too. Anyway, let me know what you guys think, thanks.

You can get 2 cheap jack stands at any Car parts store. And no you dont need your wheels to be on the ground when you're installing each ends. I've read that somewhere but I would like to recommend you stay with the car jacked at all times during the installation.

ps. I didnt have to remove my wheels either. It's really simple once you understand how everything connects down there.

Well unfortunately, bad weather has pushed back the installation til next weekend. I have one more quick question, where exactly are you supposed to grease the brushings? The instructions state the inside, which I would assume is where it "wraps around" the bar? Can you buy industrial strength grease at home depot?

There should be grease included with the bar. You put the grease on the inside of the bushings, you will notice they are ribbed on the inside to hold the grease. This is the part that wraps around the bar. Wrap teflon tape around the bar as well, this apparently helps to prevent squeaking.

Thanks for the quick response George. I think 'm gonna go with a different type of grease because of the responses from other users here. Most state that using the grease that comes with the bar will result in squeaking in a couple of months.

I have only had my bar on for a couple of weeks, but so far so good with teflon tape and the provided grease.

Well it seems I've ran into a small problem. I got all the bots removed and now it's time to silde the stock sway bar out, problem is there doesn't seem to be an easy way to slide it out? I thought about removing the tires but that isn't the problem area. I saw a suggestion to lowering the exhaust pipes but apparently, my car doesn't use bolts to hold it in, but instead some metal stub.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this? My car is currently up on jacks and would like to get this installed before it turns dark, thanks!

You need to drop the exhaust. The metal stub (hanger) you mentioned is bolted to the chassis. There is one hanger on each side of the muffler. The one towards the middle of the car can be removed with 2 bolts (about 13mm as I recall). The rear one doesn't need to be unbolted, just spray the rubber hanger with WD-40 and slide the rubber off the stub. You will need to pry with a big screwdriver to do this. Be careful, the muffler and pipes are a bit heavy.

This is turning out to be a god damn nightmare. The bolts will not screw into on the bushing brackets. Seems like the bushing are bigger than the brackets. The middle of the sway bar seems to be rubbing against the two links to the wheels, this can't be right either. I don't know what to do....

To get the brackets back on, you need to work at it a bit. Get one bolt started, but leave it loose. Then get your socket wrench on the other one and push it in while you turn.

If something is rubbing, make sure the bar is not backwards. It should fit...
