I dont know. Is that kit better? I just want to know if these real HID's kits are just H4 size bulbs that our plug and play...

im not sure if ur going more for looks or safety.

10000k tend to be a bit more tinted than lower kelvins. The higher they are the less output they give out. usually the best range is 4500-8000k. just an fyi

dude, they wont be bright..
10000k is too low
it would be ok if the ballast were 55 watt

Thanks for the color tip. I will go a little more blue instead of purple. But can someone answer my question. If I go with Real HID's are they plug and play? Im just trying to get an understanding of what a HID kit is. When I look on these websites it seems like all Im buying is the bulbs and its just is like a standard headlight bulb replacement. But I have a gut feeling that there is more too it than just buying bulbs and plugging them in. Can someone clarify.

8000 is the highest I'd go.
i have 8000. personally I love them. but i'd go nothing higher than that.
6000 is where most people I think would get them, a more.. whiteish blue.. 8000 is more of a light baby blue color.. not a rich blue like it shows in the pics.

The product you posted are real HIDs in the sense that they come with the ballasts that are REQUIRED to run 'real' HIDs.

I know they are real HIDs, I want to know what its going to take for me to hook them up to my car. For example. Am I going to have cut my factory wiring harness and wire up a new one? Do the bulbs mount the same way or am I going to have to modify my housing so they attach?

1) Bulbs should fit fine in your housing

2) From the site you posted: "(2) Halogen Harness Adapters (For plug-n-play installation)" I'm guessing YES, it's plug-n-play.

3) Just buy the McCullochs from Mark, at least then you know they're guaranteed to work.

i honestly think its just a plug and play could not really tell u but they do have everything needed to install and if the kit is modified for ur car it should fit easily.

Well I did a bit more reading by going to the manufacturer website. I have a better understanding now on how these hook up. They have a wiring harness that connects to the oem plug into the ballast. When you order they dont ask for the type of vehicle so now Im not confortable that just because they send you a harness that they will be the right connections. I will have to call them tomorrow to find that out. I want to check out this McCullochs brand too

krawzyazn on this forum is who we tellin u to buy from.. go to gen 1/1.5 for sale forum its the first thread..

i bought the mccullochs kit from mark over 2 years ago.. no problems and they are perfect.. he even matched up the bulbs the way i asked.. 9004 harness, with 9006 bulbs. you cant beat that kind of customer service.

McCulloch's are no better than any other brand out there... just over-priced cheap kits

and i can say that, cuz i have tried them..
my new kit from the group buy is brighter than the McCullochs
and has the same warranty
