yeah I dont know, I dont think JP had made a solara system in a while... Not really sure what the deal could have been, but I know they are a legit company and my mechanic wouldnt do more work than he had to to make it fit.

I'm curious if anyone else has seen this problem. If so, post up the year of your car, did it have California emissions package (pre-cats in the manifold) and if you have the 5 speed transmission.

I'm thinking there must be a difference in some model. Someone should try pulling Toyota part numbers for the front pipe and see if there is more than one part number. If so, that would probably be the difference.

Then inform JP about the different part numbers. They might need to make another part number.

There are many diffrent things

first off, the front header and rear header are diffrent on a cali spec car, and so is the ypipe, but as soon as those things are out, its the same so fitment should not be an issue.

I believe the rear header from the manual federal spec and the auto federal spec are a tad bit diffrent, and so is the ypipe.

did you see it before they cut it? How sure are you that they didn't make up the problem, to make more money? I have seen "honest" people do stuff like that.

^ the shop is only one guy and he is a personal friend. he didnt even charge me for extending it, so it would make no sense for him to lie and make more work for himself for nothing.

Cali spec may be different from Fed, but the 1MZ remains the same.
There should be no difference.
