Eric, it's me again... I was wondering how much do I have to put down to get the set, and also, how much time do I have to pay u the rest? and are the headers all that hard to install myself? how much would I ahve to take out to get to the headers? well basically the back ones would be the problem, but how hard?

Do you have pictures of the Y pipe? Do you have any idea how much power the catback would give over an Apexi WS when used with the Y pipe?

Also, if you had the Y pipe and catback, how much extra power would the headers give?

Thanks

George

Eric,
Would or can the catback match up w/ the greddy muffler? Maybe special order. If so please write back.

Don't worry about a deposit, when your ready to buy let me know. The back is the hard one to get on, to do it you undo the strut tower bar and top dogbone and rear motor mount so you can jack up the back of the motor a couple of inches and it will fit then.

I would imagine the 3" exhaust is good for 10+ hp over a 2.5" system if the front of the car was right, ie headers or y-pipe. We know its worth 13hp if you have the headers. The y-pipe looks exactly the same as the one that comes with the headers, just has longer down pipes and different flanges to bolt up to the stock manifolds. I have one coming back from the coaters next week and will upload the pics then.

I don't know how much extra but I will pay for the dyno time if someone wants the headers. We can run it with the y-pipe/catback combo first and headers/catback next.

Our y-pipe and catback bolt up to the stock locations using stock hangers. No special order needed.

Question

Postby JMSinMaryland » Fri Aug 01, 2003 6:04 am

Eric,
Will the JP headers/y-pipe pass emission (i.e. are the CARB certified)?? We have emissions tests in MD and I don't have the option of taking them on and off every few years. Jon.

Hey Scott....Jon and I both have Apex WS Exhaust. Would the JP Headers bolt straight on to that exhaust system?
