Shaving Your Emblems

Shaving Your Emblems

Postby BLACK V6 » Sat Aug 02, 2008 8:08 pm

I finished taking off the emblems today with the right tools. Here is what I did:

1-Took a heat gun and lightly heated up the emblems (low power)

2-Used a paint scraper and scraped off the hot emblems (careful not to scratch the paint)

3-Heated up the emblem glue leftover and used my fingernail and laquer thinner to scrape the rest of the glue off. (burnt finger lol )

4-Used a buffer and white compund first (buff for about 45 seconds using more compound halfway through)

5-Used a buffer and grey polish (buff for about 45 seconds using more polish halfway through)

6-Used spray 24K Gold Wax with a light buffing for about 20 seconds.

7-Look at your reflection!
