Oil in my Intake, HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Postby Turbosolara » Sun Sep 28, 2003 11:30 am

It is normal that oil will come out from the crank case into the intake. it is design this way and it is for better pollution purpose. you can just simply put a little breather on the crank case instead use the pipe route it back to intake

I am currently using my stock intake with a K&N drop in. I'm using an air breather at the cam cover and replaced the upper intake resonator with a 5" section of 2.75" dia pipe.

It's only a tiny bit of oil, it's mostly carbon and water. I know it feels oily, but when it dries it won't really be slimy the way oil is.
On one of the boats at my work, the air hose always blows off. It scared me the first time cause I thought it was oil blown all over the engine (26 psi on the intake!). It turned out it was just carbon. BTW that was with 2 crankcase breathers.

hmmm... I may have the same problem... but this happened to me only when I installed the S/C. I never checked thou to see if there is oil in my intake... but CEL comes on if I use the injen short ram intake and if I switch back to the stock airbox, the light will be off. Can anybody explain how does the breather work and where does this breather go?

Thanks
